Bin collections fine and no real anti-social behaviour, the park has started to attract youngsters with attitudes unfortunately. Our business is acquiring land, obtaining planning consents and building the highest quality homes in places people aspire to live. This is supported by our expertise in land, design, construction and sales and marketing. Barratt Homes has partnered with heylo housing, so now you could afford a brand-new Barratt home. Home Reach is a government-backed Shared Ownership scheme that allows you to buy a share of a new home and then pay an affordable monthly rent on the remaining share.

Heylo received both register provider status and investment partners status with Homes England in 2017. Due for completion in September 2019, the first phase will comprise of 42 one and two bedroom apartments suitable for two, three and four person occupancy. Representing a total investment of £5 million, the development has received over £2.8m in grant funding from the Scottish Government. There’s no nightlife which is good and bad, good because it means the neighbourhood is quiet but bad because sometimes you want to stay local but there are quite a few pubs – I have experienced racism in these pubs please note. It’s an excellent location for amenities, just 20 minutes from central London via National Rail. The area is relatively safe, I have never felt threatened in the area.

The wildlife initiative was just a paper project with no reality. The Group has entered into a number of joint venture arrangements, in particular in London, which has enabled us to secure excellent land opportunities and develop larger, more complex sites in the capital. The shared ownership property will be your principle and only home.

The housebuilder is currently constructing 44 social housing apartments at its flagship Dalmeny Park development in South Queensferry. The properties on completion will be delivered to Home Scotland. In south Edinburgh, this includes 24 homes at Lime Grove in Burdiehouse and 29 homes at Heritage Grange – bringing a total of 161 affordable homes to the site once the development is completed. Both projects, which are due to complete by spring 2023, are being delivered in partnership with Castle Rock EdinvarHousing Association.
The main reason for purchasing our home was the overall availability to local amenities whilst also feeling slightly off the beaten track. Close to Leicester, Coventry and Birmingham for the more extravagant night out whilst also seeing Nuneaton grow as a town with more local businesses and food places to be able to visit. I drive so although transport links are not important to me, the train and bus routes are good and I believe support people in surrounding towns. Street parking is brilliant, large roads for a new build estate with extra parking and our two spaces.
A lovely estate, perfectly imperfect I think
You have passed a financial assessment, demonstrating you are financially able to purchase the minimum share value and support the monthly costs. Your household income does not exceed £80,000 per annum You have a deposit (at least 5% of the 50% share value). Part rent solutions bring owning a home within reach for millions of previously excluded potential buyers. Phases two and three of the site will host a range of terraced, semi-detached and detached homes suitable for three people through to seven people. The park in the estate was destroyed years ago and there have been no efforts to reinstate the equipment. It was very difficult to get anything done about problems, took many hours of chasing round and trying to contact people.

“Working with Albyn Housing Society and partners, the Scottish Government is investing over £6.6m in this phase of the overall Stratton development, creating a mix of affordable housing options to suit a variety of needs. Albyn Housing Society has partnered with national housebuilder Barratt Homes to bring 95 quality homes to the people of Inverness. The announcement follows Barratt’s recent delivery of 16 affordable units, at its City Haven development in Newhaven, to Port of Leith Housing Association worth over £2m.
Good Estate Needs Work
There are no local amenities nearby at present, it’s a long walk into town or its necessary to get the car out. We didn’t like the detachment from the local authority for services that are part of community charge on traditional residential property. The service charge felt out of our control and an unknown factor for the future. We chose the development because of the marketing stressing how wildlife friendly it was going to be. However, once we were there, although Barratts had done what they said they would do, that was the end of the story.
Unfortunately people in the local neighbourhood reduce its attractiveness. Overall a nice neighbourhood and I like that there is a lot of nature in the area and wildlife. Overall I love my home and believe we would have almost certainly had a worse service from other new build companies from reviews.
These diverse projects are creating new sustainable urban extensions, redeveloping redundant hospitals and transforming failing social housing estates. In the vibrant district of Leith, a £6m project will commence to create 43 new affordable homes at Barratt Homes’ Merchant Quay development, built in partnership with the Port of Leith Housing Association. The homes, which aim to welcome residents by summer 2023, will be the first delivered at the Baltic Street site in recognition of the urgent need for affordable housing.
The development itself if well located, there’s lots of green space, a small lake where you may find swans, there’s the canal that you can take a nice stroll by at night and there’s a forest at the back too with more streams and wildlife. Throughout the delivery of Upton Gardens, community engagement has been key. As archaeological excavations took place, windows were created within the hoarding to allow the public to view the works, and over 100 members of the local community attended an event displaying the findings. Furthermore, sections of the former stadium’s East Stand colonnade have been recreated as a feature, creating a new open space for residents and the local community to enjoy whilst retaining the essence of the former stadium. The scheme opens up a previously inaccessible 8-acre site, and comprises 15 buildings of varying heights, arranged around three large communal gardens and several new tree-lined streets.
The back garden was overlooked all round by a cluster of surrounding houses. It seems that nowadays many people want huge houses and don’t care about gardens. Read more reviews from residents by clicking on the properties below. Leave a review of your home here and help others considering living in your property. In Milton Keynes we are working in joint venture with Places for People to develop the Brooklands site which will deliver over 2,000 new homes. Home Reach is a scheme that’s designed to make it easier for you to get on the property ladder and means those who previously couldn’t afford to buy, may now be able to.
They do look after the gardening, sometimes the trees do overgrow but the property managers do eventually get round to it. There’s also very lovely lavenders planted at some point in the year and I really like that. Our vision is to lead the future of housebuilding by putting customers at the heart of everything we do.
We were recommended to move to Waterside Park by an estate agent. We have always lived locally but we have a disabled member of our family and needed a home with specific adaptions. We moved into our house when it was brand new and we spoke directly with the developer to ensure everything met our needs. The house has a lift installed and the kitchen units and sinks have been lowered, we asked before moving in for the kitchen units to be made slightly higher and this was arranged. Whilst the kitchen is ridiculously small with the lift there is not much else they could have done on the configuration.
